Hello! I have the great pleasure of working at NGS this coming year (2025-26) in first grade! This will be my fifth year at NGS. I have been an elementary teacher for 24 years, with experience teaching in grades Kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grades. I have also worked as a Reading Specialist for many years. I am very excited to be a part of the Newport Grammar School community!

Reading Specialist Certification - University of Irvine 2013

Masters In Teaching - Washington State University 1999

Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education - Sonoma State University 1995

SUPPLY LIST FOR ALL STUDENTS:

  • $20.00 Activity Fee (for crafts, seasonal and theme day supplies); cash, or checks made out to Newport Grammar School are accepted

  • Regular size backpack

  • Plastic water bottle WITHOUT an exposed spout, and labeled with name

  • Extra set of seasonal clothes in a labeled gallon size bag including undergarments and socks

  • Headphones, not earbuds (labeled with name)

  • 1 pack (a 3 pack is plenty) black fine tip dry erase markers

  • 2 boxes of Kleenex with lotion 

  • 2 packs of paper towels
