Parents/Guardians-To help your student retain important skills and vocabulary, please encourage your student to read, read, read. Even reading 5 pages per day over summer break will make such a difference in their academic performance!! 


  • Students in grades 1st-8th will visit the library every 2 weeks

Beginning in 4th grade, students will assessed a fine of .05 per book per day they are overdue. This DOES NOT include students with excused abscesses. Absent students' book are automatically renewed. Students with overdue books and/or fines will not be able to check out books until their accounts are in good standing. Thank you!!

AR is required each nine weeks for a grade. Please ask your student if they have completed AR.
  • 3rd grade--3rd nine weeks=1 student choice & 1 non-ficton; 4th nine weeks=1 student choice & 1 biography
  • 4th grade--2 books on their STAR level
  • 5th grade--achieve points goal as set by ELA teacher
  • 6th grade--3 books on their STAR level
  • 7th grade--3 books on a 5.0 or higher level
  • 8th grade--AT LEAST 2 books on a 5.0 or higher level.
