Food Service Supervisor

Qualification Requirements
- Experience in school nutrition, cafeteria management, or food service operations
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a food service setting
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation procedures, and nutrition program requirements
- Ability to manage daily cafeteria operations, inventory, ordering, and meal service coordination
- Experience maintaining records and completing reports related to food service operations and compliance
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, families, vendors, and district administration
- Experience working within guidelines of the USDA National School Lunch Program preferred
- ServSafe or similar certification or ability to obtain certification preferred
TDOE Minimum Education Hiring Standards
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in specific areas**; OR
- Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors; OR
- Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and at least 1 year of relevant food service experience; OR
- Associate's degree or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in specific areas**, and at least 1 year of relevant food service experience; OR
- High school diploma (or GED) and 3 years of relevant food service experience.
**Related majors include food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field.
***This position serves as the primary on-site food service supervisor and lead manager overseeing the district’s daily cafeteria operations and food service program compliance.
