Mischelle Black Named TN Coordinator of the Year

During the Coordinated School Institute in Franklin, Tennessee, February 28 - March 2, Newport City School System's Mischelle Black, Health Coordinator was recognized as  Coordinator of the Year. The Tennessee Department of Education sponsors the institute with school district representatives attending from across the state annually. Black was announced the winner from the First (East Region) for the 2021-2022 school year at one of the grand sessions during this annual meeting. Sandra Burchette, Director of Schools nominated Mischelle because of her diligence in providing security for the system during the most recent pandemic and her continued dedication to the school system of 28 years of service.
