Important Update

Newport Grammar School is currently in a “Lockout” where students and staff remain indoors and all entrances are secured. This is different than a “Lockdown.” We continue to be in constant communication with Newport Police Dept. pertaining to current situation in Newport and Cocke County. We will update you as we know more. Please be assured that the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

UPDATE: We have been informed that the situation is now resolved. NGS will operate under normal dismissal procedures for this afternoon.
