Food Recall Notice

NETCO, a school food service cooperative serving 14 districts in Northeast Tennessee, was alerted by Gordon Food Service that Hom/Ade Foods had issued a voluntary recall on Mary B’s brand frozen biscuits due to a possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.  Upon receiving notice of the recall, our nutrition department immediately pulled and discarded all products that were included in the recall.

Prior to receiving the notice, the biscuits had been served in schools over the past two weeks.  The baking process is intended to kill the bacteria, and the company says no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.  More information about the recall may be found at  Additional information about Listeria monocytogenes may be found at
